How many of us are familiar with the information on the labels of the oncology products? Project Livin’ Label is an educational initiative where using product labeling as a guide, the FDA’s Oncology Center of Excellence (OCE) will moderate the panel discussion – between a FDA reviewer, a clinical trial investigator, a patient who has used the therapy, and a representative from the company that developed the drug. Together, they delve into the journey of the oncology product from development to approval.

This panel discussion will:

  • Bring together participants for an informal discussion of the backstory of the drug development and approval process.
  • Enhance familiarity with the labels of oncology drugs.
  • Provide essential information for the safe and effective use of the product.
  • Educate about the role played by FDA in drug development.
  • Provide an enriching educational experience for the oncology community.

This program/ discussions are recorded and made available for free on the myAACR platform ( https://www.aacr.org/professionals/policy-and-advocacy/regulatory-science-and-policy/regulatory-science-and-policy-educational-activities/project-livin-label/ ).

Having immersed myself in cancer research and collaborated extensively with clinicians and researchers, I always envisioned a platform where individuals who have witnessed the same drug from varied perspectives could engage in meaningful discussions and share insights. I was very happy to discover this program, and as I delve into these recordings, I find them to be incredibly insightful. I wholeheartedly recommend those curious to tune in; your time invested will undoubtedly be rewarded with valuable knowledge.
